There is a reason bad gates fail the same way, every time. Thin steel, cheap motors, shallow posts, no safety commissioning. We are not any of those things.
Designed, sourced and fitted by one team
We manufacture our steel gates in-house and source our hardwood and aluminium from trusted makers. Every gate is drawn, finished and installed by Mayfield. One point of responsibility, from the first sketch to the day the motors fire.
Built to last in British weather
Heavy-gauge steel, hot-dip galvanised, powder coated. Stainless fixings. Sealed motor housings. The cheap options look identical on day one. Ours still look right in ten years.
Safety certified, properly commissioned
Every installation is risk assessed and tested within the guidance of BS EN 12453, with a full technical file and handover pack. No shortcuts on safety edges, photocells or risk assessment. Ever.
Automation, access, servicing and everything in between
We are a full-service gate workshop. If it is welded, wired, hinged or programmed, it is something we do in-house.
Automation
Underground, above-ground and sliding motors from Roger Technology and SEA. Installed, commissioned and safety-tested.
Access Control
Keypads, fob readers, GSM intercoms, video intercoms, ANPR and app control. Specified around how the site actually operates.
Design & Manufacture
Bespoke CAD drawings and in-house steel manufacture, with hardwood and aluminium sourced to match. Hot-dip galvanised and powder coated for a finish that holds up.
Servicing & Repair
Yearly service contracts, emergency call-outs, motor replacement and safety upgrades on existing installations, whoever fitted them.

A properly managed job has four stages. The first visit is free and you are under no obligation to do anything with the quote.

A proper visit, not a phone quote. We measure the opening, check the ground, look at power, and talk through how the gate will be used day to day.
Design & quote
CAD drawings of the exact gate, finish and hardware. A fixed quote covering manufacture, groundworks, automation and commissioning. No surprises later.
Build & finish
Steel gates are cut, welded and finished in our own workshop, galvanised and powder coated in the agreed RAL colour. Hardwood and aluminium gates are made by trusted suppliers and finished to match, with fittings prepped for install.
Install & commission
Groundworks, gates hung, motors wired, access control paired, safety-tested and signed off. We walk you through how everything works before we leave.
